During graduate school, I served as outreach coordinator for the WSU Entomology Department for several years and was able to garner funding to start and curate a living arthropod collection. It is through this role that I gained experience raising numerous arthropod taxa, developed rearing protocols, and established several breeding colonies, many of which remain in circulation to this day.
